History: CHLORAN C.P.C was originally established (as FILTRATION Co.) in 1970 by Mr. Manouchehr Hamoun to design, manufacture and install water and sewage treatment systems and related chemicals plants.

In 1983 the construction of CHLORAN Chemical Complex was started in order to produce chlorine, caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, sodium hypochlorite, calcium hypochlorite and hydrogen employing the most advanced technology of the world in order to get the highest production rate with the lowest damage to the environment and the best product quality. In 1995 Mr. Hamoun founded the Association of Iranian Chlorine Producers in order to harmonize production and sales policies and develop cooperation among 11 chlorine producers of Iran, and up to the present time this association has been successfully led by him.
